How a partner runs the business of the cloud.

The commercial module of Oasis Core lets a partner price, sell and bill the cloud to its own customers — directly, and through its own partners and resellers — with the margins, chargebacks and goals that go with them, from first estimate to paid invoice.

Pricing models

Two pricing models, built in.

The pricing model follows the customer type, and so does the lifecycle that builds their cloud.

Pay-as-you-go, for online customers
Customers order from the catalogue themselves, usage is metered as it is consumed, and they pay online.
Reserved pricing, for enterprise customers
Committed capacity on agreed terms: estimated, quoted and contracted through an enterprise-led lifecycle that builds the private cloud.
Selling through others

Partners, resellers and their customers, each in their own tenancy.

Multi-tenancy runs through the whole channel, so every level sells, bills and earns on the same records.

Partners and resellers
Each gets its own tenancy under yours, with its own customers, prices and invoices. The brand stays the infrastructure owner’s: resellers and customers sell and buy under it.
Indirect customers
Customers of your resellers, billed through the chain, with margins at each level.
Partner margins
Margins for partners and resellers, and for indirect customers, calculated and settled by the platform.
Partner goals
Targets set and tracked for each partner.
Chargebacks
Costs charged back to the partner, reseller or business unit that incurred them.
Billing your customers
Invoices to direct and indirect customers, from the same metering and the same catalogue.
Catalogues

One catalogue for the platform. Two for the marketplace.

What the platform delivers, and what partners and ISVs add to it, are catalogued separately and sold together.

The core catalogue
The platform’s own services — compute, storage, network, Kubernetes, databases, backup and more — priced for your market.
CloudSouq global catalogue
Synced from the core and common across the federation, so every Oasis cloud can offer it.
CloudSouq local catalogue
Local partners and local solutions, curated by you for your market.

Billing essentials

What a provider needs to bill in its market.

Set per deployment, so each partner bills under the rules of the market where it owns the infrastructure.

Tax
Applied under local law, as the deployment is configured for the market where the partner owns the infrastructure.
Currency
A built-in currency converter, with a base currency for each deployment — US dollars by default.
Ways to pay
Online through Stripe or Paymob, or by bank transfer and on credit terms through the contracts flow.
Dunning and suspension
Reminders, suspension for non-payment, and reinstatement when the account is settled.
Credit limits and prepaid
Credit limits for billed customers, and prepaid balances for those who pay in advance.
KYC at signup
Customer and business verification when a self-service customer signs up.
Discounts, promotions and trials
Discounts, promotions, trials and credits, to win and keep customers.
Business analytics
Revenue, churn, partner and federation performance, reported from the same records.
Status and SLA credits
A customer status page and notifications, with SLA credits when service levels are missed.
From visitor to payment

Eight steps, one set of records.

The mini CRM tracks a visitor from the first visit through estimate and contract to billing, so sales, operations and finance never reconcile three systems.

  1. 1Visitor

Tracked by the mini CRM from the first visit.

  2. 2Estimate

    Built from the priced catalogue.

  3. 3Quote

    Configured, priced and approved (CPQ).

  4. 4Contract

    Agreed, with its terms recorded.

  5. 5Subscription

Services switched on against the contract.

  6. 6Meter

Usage recorded as it is consumed.

  7. 7Invoice

Billed to the customer, direct or indirect.

  8. 8Payment

Online through Stripe or Paymob, or by bank transfer or on credit.

Between clouds

Federation is commercial, too.

A customer can buy a service that runs in another partner’s region. The financial and contractual transactions go through the Oasis Federation Core and settle on the same records.

Where it runs
In the region or location the customer chose, which may be run and owned by another federated partner.
White-labelled, brokered
The service is brokered through the Oasis Federation Core and carries the requesting partner’s brand.
Who invoices whom
The delivering partner invoices CloudHost, CloudHost invoices the requesting partner, and the requesting partner bills its customer.
A flat participation fee
Federation is a flat participation fee, not a share of your growth.
How federation works
Connected to your systems

Pre-built where it matters most.

SAP for finance, and Stripe and Paymob for payments, are pre-built connectors. Other systems connect through the REST API.
